Commons offers a variety of fitness options for our community and guests!

Cardio Room

The cardio room at the Grand Lake Center has a large variety of state of the art cardio equipment including 2 spin bikes, 3 treadmills, 2 recumbent bikes, an arc trainer, stair climber, 3 elliptical machines and a row machine. There are 2 independent televisions available in the room with Comcast cable. WiFi is also available if you would like to tune into your favorite music on your portable device.

Weight Room

The weight room at the Grand Lake Center is complete and fully functional but adding new equipment every few months.  Current equipment includes a Life Fitness Strength 3 stack weight machine, 2 racks of dumbbells 5-50lbs, Cross Fit pull-up bar, free standing punching bag, a weight bench and various bars and free weights.


Cardio and Weight Room Fee Schedule

Drop-In 1 day: $9
10 pass punch card: $70 (no expiration)

Single 1 month member $40

Single 6 month member $210

Single annual membership: $270

Family annual membership: $450 Includes 2 adults. (Children age 13-17 additional $25 each if using the cardio and weight rooms with parent)

Indoor Walking Track:

Great indoor walking track, 20 laps = 1 mile

Cost: $3 for adults, members or children to age 18 free

Open Play Basketball

Open Gym for Basketball is available 9am-11am Tues, Thurs, & Sat. All ages welcome!

Cost: $3 for adults, children to age 18 free

Pickle Ball

Pickleball is a racket sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Two, three, or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, similar to a wiffle ball, over a net. The sport shares features of other racket sports, the dimensions and layout of a badminton court, and a net and rules similar to tennis, with a few modifications. Pickleball was invented in the mid 1960’s as a children’s backyard pastime but has become popular among adults as well.

Join us at the Grand Lake Center for Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Pickleball sessions available through out the week. For more information about Pickleball league please contact Dick Sisung at [email protected]

Fitness Classes

Grand Lake Center currently has 3 group fitness classes available at this time.  If you are interested in teaching a fitness class please call 970-627-2415 or email us at [email protected] for more information. We have had interest in Yoga classes and Pilates classes.  Start your fitness classes here!

Total Body Fitness

An interval style class that uses dumbbells and various equipment including steps, tall steps, elastic bands and stability balls.  It is a fun, dynamic class that burns fat and sculpts the body.  Instructor: Crystal Myers

Class Cost: $10 Drop-In or $80 for 10 session (punch card good for 1 year)

Senior Fit

A slower paced class emphasizing on low to no impact cardio, chair exercises, light weight lifting, balance work to help prevent slip and fall accidents, flexibility and core. it’s never too late to start taking care of your body! Instructor: Crystal Myers

Class Cost: $8 Drop-In or 10 sessions for $60 (punch card good for 1 year)

Cardio Dance

A fun, high energy cardio class a lot like “Zumba” including salsa, jazz, hip hop and ballet moves that everyone can learn. Cost: $5 Instructor: Maci MacPherson
