Join us in the Grand Lake Center gymnasium for Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Pickleball leagues throughout the week on our two indoor courts. Pickleball is included in all memberships, including Silver Sneakers and Renew Active guests. Non-members can play for $5 per day. Nets, paddles and balls are provided.
What is Pickleball?
Pickleball is a racket sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Two, three, or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, similar to a wiffle ball, over a net. The sport shares features of other racket sports, the dimensions and layout of a badminton court, and a net and rules similar to tennis, with a few modifications. Pickleball was invented in the mid 1960’s as a children’s backyard pastime but has become popular among adults as well.
