SUMMARY:Tai Chi & Qigong
DESCRIPTION:Calm your nervous system\, strengthen your body\, and return to balance through the ancient healing practices of Tai Chi and Qi Gong. These gentle\, flowing movements support circulation\, joint health\, flexibility\, balance\, and the smooth flow of life force energy (Qi) throughout the body. The practice works deeply yet softly—nourishing the fascia\, tendons\, ligaments\, and joints while grounding the mind and soothing the spirit. \nTai Chi is often described as meditation in motion. Through slow\, intentional movements\, it cultivates stability\, strength\, coordination\, and inner stillness\, helping you move through life with greater ease and awareness. \nQi Gong focuses on breath\, energy cultivation\, and gentle\, repetitive movements to awaken vitality\, clear stagnation\, and restore harmony within the body. Each class gently concludes with sound healing and Shavasana\, allowing the body\, mind\, and nervous system to fully rest and integrate the practice. Gentle sound vibrations support deep relaxation\, energetic clearing\, and emotional release\, while Shavasana invites stillness\, surrender\, and restoration. This closing portion helps guide the body into a parasympathetic state—where healing\, balance\, and renewal naturally occur—so you leave feeling calm\, centered\, and deeply nourished. \nNo prior experience is needed. This class is appropriate for most bodies and abilities. Movements are primarily done standing\, with accessible options offered throughout. Please bring a yoga mat if you have one; all other necessary props are provided. \n$20 Drop in/$150 for 10 classes \nNon members of GLC must pay additional $3 facility fee \nEvery other Monday starting Feb. 2\, 2026 \nAbout Spirit Mama Baheya Aysheh \nBaheya Aysheh—known as Spirit Mama—is passionate about guiding others back into their bodies\, breath\, and natural rhythm. She teaches Tai Chi and Qi Gong as embodied healing and living prayer\, blending ancient wisdom\, mindful movement\, breathwork\, sound healing\, and deep rest. Her classes are infused with compassion\, presence\, and reverence for the body as a sacred vessel\, creating a supportive space where students can slow down\, reconnect\, and restore balance on all levels—physical\, emotional\, and energetic.
